Strategic SCVF/GM Intervention

Planning Support

We deliver comprehensive results. Our holistic approach ensures that the deliverables correlate to the variables encountered within the environment. How do we do this? We undertake a detailed analyses regimen that goes beyond current real-time analytics and cross-correlate the results back to reservoir properties. Our aim is to reduce your abandonment costs and increase your ESG scorecard, so your company remains a sustainable investment entity to commercial lenders.

Well Evaluations

  • Pre-intervention research

  • Pre-intervention petrophysics review

  • Groundwater resources review including SO4 levels

  • Gas isotope geochemistry review

  • Flow & pressure buildup review

  • Logging program design

Reappraisals - Spectral Analysis of Historic Noise Log Data

Wells with a history of prior interventions that still sustain a gas flow can be re-analysed by means of utilising the Interrogator spectral analyses software to reprocess historic noise wav file data and applying Dynamic Statistical Range Analysis processing. This re-analysed data may then be exploited to ascertain missed Areas of Interest, potentially diminishing the necessity and expense associated with drill-outs and re-logging to re-evaluate a well.  A series of time-lapse evaluations combined with subsequent gas isotope interpretation can aid in determining if the sources were previously misidentified or missed completely.

Petrophysics

Environment-defined analysis methods can unmask gas-bearing sands, siltstones, coals, or organic shales capable of free gas production that otherwise may remain hidden using conventional reconnaissance or interpretation methods.  Correlation of these intervals to gas isotope geochemistry can be used as a QA/QC check on the confidence level of the estimated source formation depth.

  • Open-hole log analysis

  • Cased-hole log analysis

    • Cement bond logs

    • Nuclear logs

    • Noise-Temperature logs

    • Production logs

Gas Isotope Geochemistry

Gas isotope analyses is a powerful geochemistry tool to identify gas composition, however, misinterpretation of the data may lead to erroneous geologic horizons being chosen as the source region.  Utilizing existing gas isotope analysis reports, we can present a scientific opinion regarding the gas classification, geologic formation, and source depth. These services are provided by Dr. Karlis Muehlenbachs, Professor, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, University of Alberta.  Collectively, our scientific analytics team can positively resolve fugitive gas sources and corroborate these results to the geologic strata associated with the gas isotope geochemical analysis.
